u16 Red Boys Team welcome visiting Italian Team  A.C. Mantova

bulletDuring the summer of 2007, the Chicago Kickers Boys Under 15 soccer team made an unprecedented tour of Europe. The players raised their own funds through various activities to cover the cost of the trip. They played teams from several European countries, including Germany, Greece and Italy, among others.

One of the lasting friendships they made was with the Italian team AC Mantova. On Saturday, April 26th, AC Mantova will be arriving in the United States for their own North American tour. Their first stop will be Carthage College, in Kenosha, for a “friendly” game with the Chicago Kickers on Sunday, April 27th.

After the game on Sunday, both teams will return to the Chicago Kickers Club House, on the grounds of the American Aid Society in Lake Villa. A Casual dinner and socializing will follow.

After sharing their friendly competition with the Chicago Kickers, AC Mantova will head on to Madison, WI, the sister city of Mantova, Italy for the next leg of their North America experience. Lake County News-Sun

Sunday, October, 21st @ 2:00pm at Toyota Park

The weather was sunny and in the 70's for the final Fire game outing of the year. At the pre-game tailgate, soccer balls were being juggled in the lot and there were a few scraped knees. The brats smelled good!

Kickers youth players participated in the pre-game human tunnel and half-time 8v8 game.  It was a festive environment with 21,000 hoping to see Beckham play.

Both teams needed a result to make the playoffs. Beckham entered the 0-0 game in the 2nd half and served dangerous balls in the Fire's Goal Box. The Fire hung on and scored a late 2nd half goal to win 1-0.
